


Through his research, he hopes to develop personalized intervention tools in the field of physical activity that will optimize the movements of people living with a neurological disorder. Jean-Francois’ work focuses on motor behaviors in healthy individuals and those whose movement is impaired due to conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, cerebral palsy or stroke. He is now a professor and researcher in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He was then a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. His graduate studies focused on Parkinson’s disease. in Neuroscience from the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University. In addition to her work as a kinesiologist, she is the Director of Human Resources and Customer Service at NeuroMotrix.Ĭo-founder of NeuroMotrix, Jean-François holds a Master’s degree in Kinanthropology from UQAM and a Ph.D.

Thanks to her many years of experience with clients living with neurological disorders and her human and empathetic approach, Catherine knows how to find THE right formula for each person. She has also held a position as Manager of External Affairs and Partnerships at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Gender and Health. For more than two years, she was the coordinator of a research laboratory on the evaluation of movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, at the Research Centre of the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal (CRIUGM). She is a qualified personal trainer and spinning instructor, certified by the National Association of Fitness Instructors (NAFI).

Co-founder of NeuroMotrix, Catherine holds a master’s degree in kinanthropology specialized in aging from UQAM and an MBA in science and engineering from the École des Sciences de la Gestion de l’UQAM.Ĭatherine has extensive experience in private training.
